It’s a semi-formal event to remark the opening of the whole week festival activities. It will be an invitation only and a special screenings.

Festival Opening Event is an opportunity where festival supporters and partners, filmmakers, guests and festival volunteers meet in a relax atmosphere to expand their network.

MICRO CINEMAS SCREENING

8 – 13 OKTOBER 2017

In collaboration with local communities and cummunity film screening in village & rural towns spread across the island of Bali, 3rd Minikino Film Week presents 11 Micro Cinema Venues. Presenting short films of Indonesia, South East Asia Region and International options, offers a whole experience of the 3rd Minikino Film Week Festival event.

POP-UP CINEMAS

8 – 13 OKTOBER 2017

Pop Up Cinema is widely known for it’s local term as Layar Tancep or Misbar (slang). During one week of the festival, our mobile team of Pop Up Cinema will travel from one location to the others, collaborates with local communities mostly in rural area of the Island.

Pop Up Cinema builds a social event for the locals who have lack of access to experience film screening at theatres.

MFW TALKS

Exchanging information and collaboration are important thing to be able to grow.
Minikino Film Week invites film-related and creative organizations and groups to get involved, presenting their programs and activities to Minikino Film Week Festival’s showgoers.

Apart from short film screenings, Minikino Film Week also holds supporting events including short film workshops such as film critic writing, camera technique, script writing, acting class, etc.

VIDEO LIBRARY

3rd MFW FESTIVAL LOUNGE, 7 – 13 OCTOBER 2017

Minikino opens special access for special guests during festival at Video Library. Independent programmers or festival representatives are able to watch short film databases and festival’s shortlist which are not included in the live-screening events.

It’s a great opportunity for festivals, independent programers, distributors/exhibitors to be in touch with an interesting data base of short films.

MUSIC VIDEO: BANDSTAND

Film and Music are inseparable. Minikino collaborates with Bali’s music video directors, presenting their music clips and featuring the production team to share their behind-the-scenes and production process.

BEGADANG FILMMAKING COMPETITION PROGRAM

A national-scale filmmaking competition as a pre-festival event. Offers fun and thrilling experiences, an unforgettable “BEGADANG” (staying up late) night.
Production team and participants will be challenged to write film script, shoot and edit their film, and even compose music score, all within only 2 days.

Nominees will be screened during the 3rd Minikino Film Week Festival, and the winners will be announced on the Awarding Night, 14 October 2017.

3rd MINIKINO FILM WEEK AWARDS is a NON-MONETARY REWARD in the form of a Certificate of Achievement signed by the Committee, and dedicated online announcements as a PUBLIC ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF EXCELLENCE.

The winners will be announced at the awards evening of the 3rd Minikino Film Week Closing Ceremony, 14 October 2017.
