The competition challenges participants to produce and submit their short films to the festival in less than 34 hours while also challenging their creativity with some compulsory cinematic elements. This year, the following compulsory elements were required to be used in the film:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Developments in the story are indicated by changes in the color scheme.<\/li>\n<li>One character affected by climate change.<\/li>\n<li>Lighting only comes from 1 (one) direction. Either natural light or lamps.<\/li>\n<li>All voices heard (including the score) have to show the sound source (except for credit titles).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Among this year\u2019s 67 participants, only 56 \u201csurvived\u201d to complete their production by the tough deadline.
