Minikino has always placed critical thinking at the heart of its mission. More than two decades later, this commitment endures through ongoing research into how short film discussions and filmmaking can foster growth in children and youth aged 4\u201317.<\/p>\n

In 2024, Minikino launched a year-round public program inviting schools, teachers, parents, and individuals to recognize the value of short films as a meaningful educational supplement. For MFW12, the Education Team has selected 59 films in 11 programs from the official selection, each accompanied by a Watch and Learn Guide to support reflection and discussion after the screening.<\/p>\n

Activities such as school field trips, filmmaker Q&A sessions, and hands-on learning stations at the festival hub further extend this initiative\u2014fostering curiosity, empathy, and critical thinking through the shared experience of short films.<\/p>\n

SHORT FILMS FOR SCHOOLS<\/strong><\/h1>\n

MFW12 presents a selection of official festival films specially curated for student audiences. The screenings include stories that invite questions, open conversations, and encourage different ways of seeing the world.
