Minikino Film Week 6<\/h1>\nMinikino Film Week 6<\/h1>\nMinikino Film Week founded and organized by MINIKINO in 2015. MINIKINO FILM WEEK 6, Bali International Short Film Festival, 4-12 September 2020 is the sixth edition of the annual international short film festival in Bali, Indonesia.<\/p>\n
MFW 6 will present the selected international short films programs and will also comprised of:<\/p>\n
Minikino Film Week present world quality short films for visiting professionals, invited festival guest and also local, national and international short film enthusiasts who attend the festival. Meanwhile to build and strengthen the network of short film screening venues in Bali, providing spaces to screen the these carefully selected short films to their audiences, which might be difficult to be seen elsewhere.<\/p>\n
MFW 6 committees consist of professionals, artists and film enthusiasts who works professionally as volunteers to support the non-commercial festival which run under Kino Media foundation. The running cost is covered by private funding donation, sponsors, and also occasional government funds. Most of the support is in-kinds, in the form of facilities, permits and helping hands to support various festival\u2019s activities.<\/p>\n

An achievement in short films supposedly has meaning beyond just the audio visual quality; a short contents experience that stimulating, brought us to tears, make us laugh, or remind us of something we\u2019d almost forgotten.<\/p>\n We are looking for a short film work that stands out in a crowd, something that is dare to be different, whilst keeping it short, simple and understandable, although it may make us think in ways we never expected to.<\/p>\n 1. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS<\/strong><\/p>\n Please prepare your digital data of your work as; 1.2. Full HD 1080p in 25 fps, using H.264 compression.<\/p>\n 1.3. Mp4 format preferred.<\/p>\n 1.4. Screening format will be on 16:9 (widescreen) ratio, 1920x1080px<\/p>\n 1.5. SPOKEN & WRITTEN LANGUAGE IN THE FILM:<\/p>\n 1.5.1. All Short films preferred to be presented in their original language. 2. SUBMITTER\u2019S REQUIREMENTS<\/strong><\/p>\n 2.1. All films must be the original work of the filmmaker\/submitter, otherwise filmmaker\/submitter must have the necessary rights.<\/p>\n 2.2. \n1.1. Short film with maximum duration of 25 mins (or max. 20 mins. on specific categories).<\/p>\n
\n1.5.2. If other than English dialogues used, films must be subtitled in English (SubRip \u2013 srt file preferred).
\nBahasa Indonesia subtitle will be added to your short film based on your English language \/ subtitle (otherwise you are already have Indonesian subs for your work.<\/p>\n

\nWhenever you find your status changed from ‘undecided’ to \u2018Semi-Finalist\u2019 in the Filmfreeway*: this is a call-out for candidates.<\/p>\n
\nYou will receive an invitation email asking you to send your digital file of final work to MFW6 offline database for a closed review. This doesn\u2019t mean your film has been selected, yet this is the stage that determines your next status in the selection process.<\/span><\/em><\/h3>\n

\nMINIKINO FILM WEEK RESPECTING THE SCREENING RIGHTS. NOTHING MAY GO FURTHER WITHOUT WRITTEN CONSENT OF THE RIGHTS OWNER OF THE WORK. PROTECTING YOUR SHORT FILM DATA IS OF OUR UTMOST IMPORTANCE, THEREFORE, YOUR SHORT FILM WILL ONLY BE USED BY YOUR AUTHORIZATION IN A MANNER CONSISTENT WITH THE CONSENT GIVEN.<\/em><\/p>\n
\nStatus \u2018Finalist\u2019 in the Filmfreeway given for all the short films that is already in our off-line database, that satisfied all the requirements from step 3.1. This is the list from which the 2020 SHORTLIST and 2020 OFFICIAL SELECTIONS will be made.<\/p>\n
\n(Status \u2018Accepted\u2019 in the Filmfreeway) is THE FINAL STAGE.
\nOfficial Selected Short Films will be put in a Sub-Program, prepared with Indonesia subs and SCHEDULED FOR LIVE SCREENINGS DURING THE FESTIVAL DATE; 4-12 September 2020. Please aware that most of the festival\u2019s live screenings are free & open for public (with age rating guides).<\/p>\n
\nShort Films that already fulfill all the requirements that is eligible for step 3.3 in the selection process.
\n4.1. INTERNATIONAL PREMIERE RECOGNITION
\nOnly films that meet the following conditions may be considered to get the International Premiere Recognition status:<\/p>\n
\n4.1.2. Only for films that have been released during the present year of the Festival (year 2020);
\n4.1.3. Only for films that have never been showing\/premiered anywhere OTHER THAN THEIR COUNTRY OF ORIGIN;
\n4.1.4. We need a STATEMENT EMAIL FROM PRODUCER(S)\/DIRECTOR(S) send to MFW6; Stated that the work have not been, and will not presented at any other International screening event neither live nor online (exhibited on the Internet, publicly) before the end date of MFW6 Festival (Saturday, 12 September 2020)<\/p>\n
\nOnly films that meet the following conditions may be selected;
\n4.2.1. Short Films that already fulfill all the requirements of step 3.3 in the selection process.
\n4.2.2. Short Films that have been produced and released after 1 January 2019.
\n4.2.3. Short Film, maximum duration of 25 mins, all genres accepted.<\/p>\n
\nOnly films that meet the following conditions may be selected;<\/p>\n
\n4.3.2. Only for short films that holds Bali\u2019s premiere status. That means, THE FILM MUST NEVER BEEN SCREENED IN BALI ISLAND BEFORE THE MFW6 FESTIVAL\u2019S DATE, 4 SEPTEMBER 2020 ARE ELIGIBLE FOR AWARD CONSIDERATION.
\n4.3.3. We need a STATEMENT EMAIL FROM PRODUCER(S)\/DIRECTOR(S) send to MFW6; Stated that THE FILM NEVER BEEN SCREENED IN BALI ISLAND BEFORE THE MFW 6 FESTIVAL\u2019S DATE, 4 SEPTEMBER 2020.
\n4.3.4. MFW6 committees have the right to CANCEL THE AWARD NOMINATION STATUS if we found out that the film had been SCREENED AT OTHER EVENT \/ FESTIVAL IN BALI BEFORE MFW 6 COMMENCED.<\/p>\n
