MINIKINO LELANG FILM PENDEK adalah sebuah acara kreasi tim kerja Minikino, untuk menggalang dana bagi filmmaker dan kelangsungan acara Minikino Film Week 2015.
\nFilm-film pendek yang dikurasi adalah karya-karya yang kami anggap penting dalam kurun pasca reformasi, namun telah berusia produksi kisaran 10 tahun atau lebih. Walaupun karya-karya ini dianggap \u201ctelah kadaluwarsa usia festival\u201d, namun diharapkan bisa menjadi daya tarik sendiri, baik bagi yang sudah pernah menyaksikannya atau bahkan yang mungkin belum pernah mendengar tentang karya-karya penuh prestasi luar biasa ini.
\nTerlepas dari keasyikan kami membongkar kembali arsip-arsip lama, kami sadar bahwa kurasi ini masih jauh dari kata sempurna, tentu masih banyak judul-judul lainnya yang seharusnya juga cukup penting, namun belum berhasil kami sertakan kali ini. Untuk itu kami mohon maklum atas semua keterbatasan kami dan tetap bersedia menikmati adanya. Tentu saja dengan rendah hati, kami Minikino akan selalu mendengarkan dan mengkaji kembali masukan-masukan dari para filmmaker, kurator dan para penonton.<\/p>\n

ATURAN LELANG (hampir) sederhana;
\n1. Lelang sudah dibuka sejak hari pertama PEKAN FILM MINIKINO 2015, hanya dilaksanakan di counter venue minihall IRAMA INDAH
\n2. Setiap penonton dapat memilih film yang disukai, dipersilahkan lebih dari 1(satu) judul, dengan membayar donasi (minimal) Rp. 5000,- (limar ibu rupiah) per-judul.
\n3. Acara pengumuman hasil lelang akan diumumkan pada hari Sabtu, 17 Oktober 2015, tepat pada jam 19:30.
\n4. Semua film yang terpilih akan ditampilkan di layar lebar, berdasarkan jumlah total pemilih.
\n5. Hanya penonton yang terlibat permainan LELANG FILM yang berhak berada dalam ruang putar.
\n6. Penonton yang belum memilih dan datang lewat dari jam 19:30, dibebankan donasi Rp. 25.000,- (duapuluhlimaribu rupiah) untuk dapat masuk ke ruang putar, dan sekaligus mendapat hak dasar untuk memilih 2(dua) judul film.
\n7. Apabila seluruh film terpilih telah ditayangkan, dan masih ada waktu tersisa dari slot acara 2 jam, proses lelang akan ditawarkan kembali kepada penonton yang hadir.
\n8. Film yang sudah ditayangkan, dapat ditayangkan ulang atas hasil lelang.<\/p>\n

MINIKINO SHORTS FILM AUCTION is originally conceived by MINIKINO working team to be a fund-raising event for filmmakers and MINIKINO FILM WEEK 2015.<\/em>
\nWe considered these selection of films as important post- reformation shorts which had been produced ten years ago or more. Regardless the age of the shorts, we felt the unique attraction for those who once watched them on big screen…or perhaps heard about high achievements of these shorts.<\/em>
\nWhile we enjoyed looking through old database, we realize that this curation is far from perfect as we know there are other important shorts but had not been included this time. We would like to have your understanding in our limitation and still hope you all enjoy the selection. We humbly would love to listen and review all the feedbacks from filmmaker, other curators, and of course the audience.<\/em><\/p>\n

MINIKINO SHORTS AUCTION is (almost) simple:<\/em>
\n1. Auction started since day-1 of MINIKINO FILM WEEK 2015, only at the counter of minihall IRAMA INDAH venue.<\/em>
\n2. Each audience could choose more than one short with a minimum donation of Rp 5,000 for each title.<\/em>
\n3. The auction result will be announced on Saturday, October 17th 2015 – 19:30 WITA<\/em>
\n4. All films that are choosen will be screened on the schedule with sequence based on total donation collected.<\/em>
\n5. Only audience that involved (donated) in SHORTS FILM AUCTION have the right to attend the screening.<\/em>
\n6. Audience that had not chose a short and arrived at the screening venue after 19:30 would have to donate a minimum amount of Rp 25,000 to enter the screening room and get the basic rights to choose 2 (two) shorts title<\/em>
\n7. Only if the total chosen shorts had been screened and the first session did not exceed 2 hours total screening time then the auction can be continued, repeated.<\/em>
\n8. Films that has been screened, could be re-screened again, based on the auction result<\/em><\/p>\n

\nCatatan Kuratorial: Edwin adalah sutradara generasi baru Indonesia, seorang sutradara yang diperhitungkan sejajar dengan nama-nama besar seperti Zhang Yimou, Billy Bob Thornton atau Miguel Gomes di seksi kompetisi Berlinale 2012. A Very Slow Breakfast adalah karya pertamanya. Belum pernah nonton?
\nCuratorial Note: Edwin is a new generation of Indonesian director, that considered equal with big names with big names like Zhang Yimou, Billy Bob Thornton or Miguel Gomes in the Berlinale competition section 2012. A Very Slow Breakfast is his first work. Have you watched it?<\/p>\n

DAJANG SOEMBI, PEREMPOEAN JANG DIKAWINI ANDJING<\/strong> (dir. Edwin \/ Fiksi \/ 2004 \/ 7min.)
\nCatatan Kuratorial: Karya Edwin lainnya, sebuah Film pendek Indonesia yang mengadaptasi cerita rakyat Jawa Barat yaitu Dayang Sumbi. Karya ini dibuat sebagai film bisu karena di Indonesia saat itu tidak ada laboratorium pemroses suara analog. Prestasi film ini, banyak! sama seperti karya Edwin lainnya.
\nCuratorial Note: Another Edwin\u2019s short film, an adaptation of Indonesia West Java\u2019s folklore , Dayang Sumbi. This work was made as a silent film because there was no laboratory analog sound processing at the time in Indonesia. Achievement of this film, a lot! as others Edwin\u2019s works.<\/p>\n

DURIAN<\/strong> (dir. Farishad (Echa) Latjuba \/ Fiksi \/ 2003 \/ 15min.)
\nKisah sebuah perselingkuhan dan buah durian
\nStory about an affair and a durian
\nCatatan Kuratorial: \u201cDurian\u201d adalah film pertama karya Echa, dan langsung berhasil masuk ke jajaran festival film pendek bergengsi di dunia. Dari Dresden, Jerman hingga ke Mar Del Plata, Argentina. Di tahun yang sama, dia menulis film layar lebar panjang pertama bersama dua orang lain lagi berjudul \u201cPelangi di Atas Prahara\u201d.
\nCuratorial Note: \u201cDurian\u201d is the first work of Echa, and immediately made it into ranks of many prestigious world\u2019s short film festival. From Dresden, Germany to Mar Del Plata, Argentina. In the same year, he wrote the first long feature films titled \u201cPelangi di Atas Prahara\u201d.<\/p>\n

\nPemilik restoran Indonesia di Praha, Cekoslowakia, suatu malam kedatangan pembeli yang tidak diharapkan.
\nOne evening, an Indonesian restaurant owner in Prague, Czech Republic get an unexpected guests.
\nCatatan Kuratorial: Kisah ini diadaptasi dari kisah pendek karangan (alm) Sobron Aidit. Farishad (Echa) Latjuba adalah salah satu filmmaker Indonesia yang mengawali dunia filmnya melalui karya-karya film pendek, dan adalah kolaborator lama Minikino sejak tahun 2002. Klayaban adalah salah satu karya yang menyentuh dari Echa.
\nCuratorial Note: The story was adapted from a short story by the late Sobron Aidit. Farishad (Echa) Latjuba is one of the Indonesian filmmakers that started his career with shorts and an old collaborator of MINIKINO since 2002. \u201cKlayaban\u201d is one of the most touching work by Echa.<\/p>\n

TAHI SAPI ATAU BUKAN<\/strong> (dir. Wahyu Aditya \/ Fiksi \/ 2003 \/ 6min. )
\n3 sahabat yang bingung, apakah yang mereka lihat itu tahi sapi atau bukan?
\n3 friends who got confused, is it really cow dung or not?
\nCatatan Kuratorial: Nama Wahyu Aditya (atau panggilannya \u2018Wadit\u2019) tidak mungkin dipisahkan dari perkembangan dunia animasi di Indonesia. Ini adalah salah satu karya awal Wadit, juga salah satu favorit Minikino.
\nCuratorial Note: Wahyu Aditya or more well known as \u2018Waidt\u2019 is a prominent name in the world of animation in Indonesia. This short is one of Wadit\u2019s early works and one of MINIKINO\u2019s favorite<\/p>\n

MASS GRAVE<\/strong> (dir. Lexy Junior Rambadeta \/ Dokumenter \/ 2002 \/ 26min.)
\nKetika tulang belulang dari korban pembantaian Maret 1966 ditemukan di Wonosobo tahun 2002.
\nWhen the bones of the military massacre victims of March 1966 were found in Wonosobo in 2002.
\nCatatan Kuratorial: Lexy Rambadeta adalah seorang pembuat film dokumenter yang sangat berpengaruh di Indonesia. Mass Grave adalah salah satu karya awalnya, menurut Minikino; harusnya disaksikan oleh setiap orang, terutama yang perduli dengan sejarah peristiwa 1965
\nCuratorial Note: Lexy Rambadeta is one of Indonesia\u2019s remarkable documentary filmmaker. Mass Grave is one of his early works, which in MINIKINO\u2019s opinion a must see by everyone especially those that care about 1965 history.<\/p>\n

\nSuatu malam terdengar pintu diketuk secara misterius
\nOne night, there\u2019s a misterious knocking on the door.
\nCatatan Kuratorial: Ketok adalah salah satu karya film pendek Indonesia yang berkeliling ke banyak festival dunia. Tintin Wulia adalah seorang seniman Indonesia, tinggal di Brisbane, Australia, namun bekerja secara internasional. Selain sebagai salah satu pendiri Minikino, juga dengan banyak perhatian dan penghargaan dunia, informasi tentang Tintin Wulia dengan mudah dicari di google.
\nCuratorial Note: Ketok is a short films that has been travelling to many International Film Festivals. Tintin Wulia is an Indonesian artist lives in Brisbane, Australia, and works internationally. Besides as the founder of Minikino, and with so many highlights and International awards, you can easily find information about her in Google.<\/p>\n

EVERYTHING\u2019S OK<\/strong> (dir. Tintin Wulia \/ Fiksi \/ 2003\/5min.)
\nSemuanya beres. Kita kehilangan jejak skala manusia, tapi tidak apa-apa, semuanya baik-baik saja.
\nYes, Sir, everything\u2019s just fine. We\u2019ve lost track of the human scale, but rest assured; everything\u2019s definitely OK.
\nCatatan Kuratorial: Satu lagi karya dari Tintin Wulia yang banyak dibicarakan dunia internasional. Membicarakan film pendek Indonesia harus menyebutkan film ini.
\nCuratorial Note: One more short by Tintin Wulia that much talked in International forum. Mentioning this title is a must when we talked about Indonesian short<\/p>\n

KITA HARUS BIKIN FILM<\/strong> (dir. Fredy Aryanto & Sugeng Wahyudi \/ Fiksi \/ 2002 \/ 9min.)
\nPembicaraan dua orang pemuda yang ingin membuat film. Sebuah tindakan tidak semudah itu dilaksanakan.
\nTwo men talks about making film. An action is not as simple as it sound.
\nCatatan Kuratorial: Salah satu film ringan yang dipilih kurasi VCD Indonesia Raja yang diterbitkan pada tahun 2003.
\nCuratorial Note: one of light short film that was curated in VCD Indonesia Raja produced in 2003.<\/p>\n

EL MELER<\/strong> (dir. Dennis Adishwara \/ Fiksi \/ 2002\/ 28min.)
\nEl Meler berkuasa penuh di jalan Haji Subuh. Suatu hari datang seseorang yang menantangnya.
\nEl Meler ruled Haji Subuh street. One day came a person who challenged him into a figh.
\nCatatan Kuratorial: El Meler adalah karya penting dari sebuah generasi filmmaker Indonesia gelombang baru, pada awal 2000-an. Dennis Adishwara, walaupun mengomel karena setiap kali membuat film, nggak pernah bisa balik modal, adalah seorang dengan kreatifitas dan semangat berkarya yang sangat mengagumkan. Minikino kagum!
\nCuratorial Note: El Meler is an important work in the new wave of Indonesian filmmaker in early 2000. Although Dennis keeps grumbling about unreturned investment when making movies, he is always the one with strong creativity and spirit, and never ceased to amaze us!<\/p>\n

THE ANNIVERSARIES<\/strong> (dir. Ariani Darmawan \/ Fiksi \/ 2006 \/ 12min. )
\nSebuah gambar hubungan suami istri yang monoton, ditampilkan melalui adegan-adegan dalam lift.
\nA portrait of a monotonous relationship of a husband and wife, highlighted through scattered moments of their yearly wedding anniversaries, set in an elevator.
\nCatatan Kuratorial: Ariani Darmawan adalah seniman video dan pembuat film yang menetap dan bekerja di Bandung. Ariani telah berpartisipasi di dalam sejumlah festival seni maupun film di Eropa, Amerika Serikat, Asia, dan Australia. Termasuk di dalam beragam karyanya adalah film-film pendek, dokumenter, juga video instalasi dan karya teatrikal.
\nCuratorial Note: Ariani Darmawan is a video artist and filmmaker who live and work in Bandung. Ariani has participated in a number of art and film festivals in Europe, USA, Asia, and Australia. Included in the variety of her works are short films, documentaries, as well as video installations and theatrical works. Minikino proudly displaying an old Ariani\u2019s short here<\/p>\n

THE LAST BELIEVER<\/strong> (dir. Tumpal C. Tampubolon\/ Fiksi \/ 2006 \/ 9min.)
\nBella percaya bahwa dengan menjadi vampir, dia bisa menyembuhkan Karla, adiknya, yang sakit keras.
\nBella believed that becoming vampire will give her the power to heal Karla, her ill sister.
\nCatatan Kuratorial: Tumpal Tampubolon tinggal dan bekerja di Jakarta. Ia adalah sarjana di bidang Matematika. Ia telah menulis dan menyutradarai beberapa film pendek yang diputar di berbagai film festival domestik maupun internasional. Di tahun 2009 ia dipilih untuk menghadiri Berlinale Talent Campus di Berlin dan di tahun 2010 juga terpilih untuk menghadiri Asian Film Academy di Pusan, Korea Selatan.
\nCuratorial Note: Tumpal Tampubolon lives and works in Jakarta. He is a graduate in Mathematics. He has written and directed several short films that are screened at various domestic and international movie festival. In 2009 he was selected to attend the Berlinale Talent Campus in Berlin, and in 2010 was also selected to attend the Asian Film Academy in Pusan, South Korea.<\/p>\n

HARAP TENANG, ADA UJIAN<\/strong> (Be Quiet, Exam Is in Progress!) (dir. Ifa Isfansyah \/ Fiksi \/ 2006 \/ 15min.)
\nTanggal 27 Mei 2006, jam 5.55 pagi, Yogya dikejutkan dengan sebuah gempa 5.9 sr mengorbankan 6000 orang. Hari itu adalah 10 hari menjelang ujian akhir siswa sekolah dasar.
\nOn May 27th 2006 at 05.55 a.m., Jogjakarta city was shock by earthquake at 5.9 SR that killed over 6,000 people. That day was ten days before elementary school students did final examination.
\nCatatan Kuratorial: Ifa Isfansyah adalah seorang filmmaker Indonesia yang namanya sudah banyak dibicarakan melalui film-filmnya yang sudah tayang secara komersil di jaringan bioskop XXI. BENJAMIN\u2019S WHISTLE<\/strong> (dir. Aryo Danusiri\/ Fiksi \/ 2000\/ 13 min)
\nBenjamin suka suara peluit dan ingin menjadi mandor pasar. Antara kagum dan benci ia bergulat dengan emosinya sambil menulis surat buat Tuhan.
\nBenjamin loves the whistle sound and wannt be the market patron. Between admiration and hatred he deals with his own feeling by writing a letter to God.
\nCatatan Kuratorial: Aryo Danusiri, dianggap sebagai pelopor filmmaker dokumenter Indonesia pasca reformasi, merupakan kombinasi unik profesi filmmaker dan antropolog yang sedang menyelesaikan Ph.D di program Media Antropologi di Univ.Harvard. Dalam karya-karya Aryo, pendekatan posisi pembuat film adalah sebagai teman bicara, bukan penyaji fakta yang otoriter.
\nCuratorial Note: Aryo Danusiri, considered as a pioneer of Indonesian documentary filmmaker post-reform, is a unique combination of Video Artist & Anthropologist that is doing his Ph.D.studies in Visual Anthropology at Harvard University. In most of Aryo\u2019s work, a humble approach taken as filmmaker of being interlocutor instead of authoritarian fact presenter.<\/p>\n

\nIbrahim Kabir, seorang penyair Didong dalam konteks tanah kelahirannya Takengon di dataran tinggi Gayo. Seni didong terancam kepunahan dari berbagai faktor termasuk kompetisi dengan reproduksi media digital-elektronik.
\nthe Acehnese Didong poet, Ibrahim Kadir in the context of his homeland Takengon in the Gayo Highlands. Didong performance skill is in danger of extinction from various factor including so much competition from technologically and electronically reproduced media.
