The Begadang Filmmaking Competition is a national short film production competition. The competition challenges participants to produce and submit their short film to the festival in less than 34 hours. There are compulsory elements were required to be used in the film:
- An umbrella of a specific color that reflects the main character’s personality.
- A scene of someone eating ice cubes.
- One or multiple sounds or noises that can only be heard on either the right or the left side.
This year, 50 production teams took on the challenge, and 31 of them successfully completed their films within the 34-hour deadline.
