KORINCO (Korea–Indonesia–Colombia) is an annual stop-motion animation workshop program designed for children aged 10 to 12, a collaboration between three festivals: Minikino Film Week from Indonesia, SESIFF (Seoul Yeongdeungpo International Extreme-Short Image & Film Festival) from South Korea, and Bogoshorts from Colombia.
Since its inception in 2023, KORINCO has become a learning space that encourages children’s active participation in animated film production using stop-motion techniques. The program also strives to build self-confidence, teamwork skills, hone creativity, learn basic animation skills, and foster an appreciation for cultural diversity.
Each participant works in a cross-country team to create story segments that are later combined into a collaborative animated short film, which is screened at international film festivals in all three countries. KORINCO continues to grow each year, offering a hands-on experience in short film production while instilling the values of global collaboration and multicultural understanding from an early age.
