ABOUT MINIKINO FILM WEEK 12

MINIKINO FILM WEEK (MFW) is the annual Bali International Short Film Festival. The twelfth edition will be held from Friday 11 September 2026 to Friday, 18 September 2026.

MFW is and has always been an in-person festival, bringing audiences and projection screens together at physical venues. Screenings take place in Micro Cinemas and Pop-up Cinemas, complemented by auxiliary events such as Community Screenings held across various locations in Bali.

The Minikino Film Week 12 presents the International and National Awards featuring films from its official selection. Additionally, the festival showcases various programs, including the annual Indonesia Raja, a national short film exchange program; S-Express, a Southeast Asian programmers network; the national competition BEGADANG; and international collaborations and programs from the festival’s extensive network.

8th SHORT FILM MARKET celebrating creativity and collaboration in the short films circle. First launched in 2019, this vibrant hub connects filmmakers, producers, and industry professionals through exhibitions, talks, seminars, workshops, market screenings, professional gatherings, and the Short Film Library.

3rd MFW EDUCATION offered a gateway for anyone who would be interested to understand more about the festival, short film productions and also several workshops for children and family as an early introduction to film.

Minikino highlights short films as cultural expressions that reflect the social and cultural values of the artists and communities behind them. We believe that culture flourishes when ideas are shared and exchanged.
