Each year, the Short Film Market fosters networks and encourages collaborations that strengthen the production and distribution of short films.

The Film Concentration at Universitas Pelita Harapan is part of the Visual Communication Design program. It focuses on the study and practice of filmmaking, equipping students with theoretical insight, technical skills, and artistic sensitivity. At Minikino Film Week 2026, Mondi presents three films: Saksi Kunci (The Key Witness), a workshop-born short examining the disappearance of Indonesian political victims; Ani, an alumni film depicting the delicate realities of caring for a parent with dementia; and Cinta Amatiran (Amateur’s Love), a documentary following young filmmakers breaking into the Indonesian film industry.

The organisation currently brings together more than 1,000 French cinema and TV content professionals (producers, talents, agents, sales companies, etc.) working together to promote French films and TV programmes among foreign audiences, industry executives and media.
The Mongolian National Film Council (MNFC) implements the Law on the Promotion of Cinematography, with a mission to support Mongolian filmmakers, strengthen professional capacity, foster international collaboration, and promote Mongolian cinema worldwide. At this year’s program, the MNFC proudly presents a selection of four Mongolian short films: In the Beginning, directed by Jamiyansuren J.; Dandelion Resilience Behind the Silence, directed by Tuvshinzaya B.; 2.29, directed by Khuderbaatar G.; and Scent, directed by Ganlkhagva G. Together, these films showcase the creativity, diversity, and emerging talent of Mongolia’s contemporary cinema.
The Thai Film Archive’s “Small World” project addresses the lack of quality films for children. It develops Thai animation producers’ understanding of primary school audiences to create suitable content for children aged 6-12. As part of this project, the Thai Film Archive funded and quality-controlled the production of animated short films. This initiative successfully resulted in six short animated films, which will be screened in the “School Cinema” program and other official activities of the Thai Film Archive.

Documentary Dream Center is a Tokyo-based non-profit founded in 2008 to promote creative documentary and strengthen international exchange. Through film screenings, production support, workshops, and cross-cultural programs, we nurture documentary filmmakers and expand audiences for independent documentary. At MKFW we will showcase our flagship project Yamagata Documentary Dojo, an international creative retreat where Asian filmmakers develop works-in-progress. We’ll present Kris Ong’s _A Woman, A Door_ (2023) which came out from Dojo 2 and feature attending alumni from past editions. This event launches an open call for entries to our Feb. 2027 program.
