LAUT MASIH MEMAKAN DARATAN (The Swallowing Sea)

RWI HUMAN RIGHTS FILM AWARD 2024 WINNER & MFW10 NATIONAL COMPETITION AWARD 2024 – 1st SPECIAL MENTION

“The jury would like to honor a film that works masterfully on multiple layers, dealing with cultural consequences of climate change. The director lets the information flow in bit by bit, and nicely keeps the amount of drama at bay, even as we realize that we are seeing the end of an era. A Special Mention goes to LAUT MASIH MEMAKAN DARATAN (The Swallowing Sea) directed by Afif Fahmi.”
