MFW10 POST FESTIVAL ROADSHOW 2024

Get ready! The MFW10 Post Festival Roadshow 2024 is hitting the road, bringing the excitement of the festival to four different locations in Bali and East Nusa Tenggara. showcasing MFW10  films, Vertical Films about gender based violence, and visual literacy workshop.

This public event is powered by the  Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbud Ristek), Dana Indonesiana, and Lembaga Pengelola Dana Pendidikan (LPDP). More than just a screening, the roadshow helps us strengthen collaborations with partners and communities across Eastern Indonesia.

Here are the schedules;

ROADSHOW BUKU: Kisah Pertunjukan Lentera Ajaib Orang-orang Savoia

The book “Kisah Pertunjukan Lentera Ajaib Orang-orang Savoia” is being introduced to Indonesian readers for the first time, inviting them to explore the mysteries and examine the historical and cultural impact of the magic lantern. Through this book, the author, Roger Gonin, conveys the significant influence of the magic lantern as a precursor to the birth of cinema.

The first phase of distribution took place in April 2024, with copies sent to educational institutions and organizations across Indonesia.

At the book launch events in Yogyakarta and Jakarta, Roger Gonin, the author, will present the translation process and the unique features of this book alongside Edo Wulia, the director of Minikino and the head of the book’s translation.

The launch will be accompanied by the distribution of limited copies to the event participants.

VISUAL LITERACY WORKSHOP FOR ELEMENTARY SCHOOL TEACHERS IN LABUAN BAJO

Minikino presents a visual literacy workshop for elementary school teachers, aimed at helping educators design more interactive learning processes using visual media.

In this workshop, teachers will learn the basics of visual storytelling, transforming visual elements into stories and developing them into written sentences. This method serves as inspiration for application in classroom teaching modules. It is designed to sharpen observation skills, stimulate empathy, and enhance the creativity and curiosity of students.

This workshop also aims to raise awareness of literacy and understanding through visual arts. Teachers will gain experience in encouraging students to work in teams, communicate, actively receive information, and develop critical thinking and empathy.
