GUEST SPEAKERS
Minikino is honored to have the guest speakers sharing their experiences about the power of networks.
Trevor Zhou is a writer/director who uses stories to play with convention and expectation to encourage wonder and self-reflection. Being an immigrant, his stories center around identity, family, and unearthing our personal truths.
Made in China and raised in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Trevor studied Chinese Studies, psychology and philosophy at the University of Michigan. It didn’t make his parents proud but it armed him with a curiosity to examine the world around him.
He fell into acting when he was serendipitously cast as a “real person” in a national commercial saying the word “trains.” Reviews of his performance were favorable. Through acting, he’s discovered a passion to tell very personal stories inspired by his experiences.
His most recent short thriller/horror, Out of Order, is currently on the festival circuit. Trevor is currently working on his directorial feature debut, Ann Arbor, a bittersweet love letter to his hometown.
