Let’s celebrate your short films together with our programmer friends from all around the world. You’ll have three minutes to pitch your film and receive valuable feedback on potential future festival opportunities.

ELIGIBLE FILM

We welcome all genres: fiction, animation, documentary, and experimental. To qualify, your film must be part of MFW11 under one of these categories:

• Official Selection
• South East Asia Network
• Indonesia Raja 2025

ELIGIBLE PARTICIPANTS

The producer or director must attend the festival in person. Please note: travel and personal expenses are not covered and must be self-funded.

Selected participants will be announced by 8 August 2025. Confirmed attendance is required by 20 August 2025, with a public announcement on 2 September 2025.

CALL FOR SHORT FILMS AND GET NEW INSIGHTS FROM FILM FESTIVAL PROGRAMMERS! SUBMISSION DEADLINE THURSDAY, 27 JUNE – WEDNESDAY, 17 JULY 2024, 12:00 PM (UTC+8)

ELIGIBLE PROJECTS:

• Any genre: fiction, animation, documentary, experimental films
• Short films up to 10 years old are welcome
• Maximum duration 15 minutes

ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS:

• Must attend the event in person during the festival
• Must have made at least one short film shown to the public

Four (4) selected films will be announced on Wednesday, 31 July 2024.

Four selected filmmakers will pitch their short films in three minutes maximum to film festival programmers and get new insight into where their films could travel. Short films at any stage of production are welcome. Five selected filmmakers will get the chance to meet the programmers from Indonesia Raja 2023, Southeast Asian S-Express 2023, and festivals collaborating with Minikino.
