MINIKINO HYBRID INTERNSHIP FOR FILM FESTIVAL WRITERS 2026

OVERVIEW

The Minikino Hybrid Internship for Film Festival Writers, launched in 2021, is an educational programme designed to nurture emerging Indonesian writers within the short film ecosystem. Through direct engagement with Indonesian and international filmmakers, programmers, and industry professionals, participants gain insight into festival programming, film criticism, and industry dynamics.

Now entering its sixth edition, the 2026 programme begins online (15 April–4 September 2026), followed by an onsite immersion in Bali (6–19 September 2026) during Minikino Film Week 12 – Bali International Short Film Festival.

Following an open call, candidates undergo a competitive selection process including portfolio review, motivational assessment, and interviews. Four participants will be selected based on the strength of their writing, critical perspective, and commitment to contributing to the wider short film community.
