Minikino collaborates with Jati Andito, a professional Voice Over Talent from Indonesia, to hold a sharing session about the world of voice acting and audio description in films for the visually impaired. The goal is to broaden the knowledge of the visually impaired community and those with visual impairments about inclusive cinema, the presence of audio description facilities, the world of voice acting, and how they can get involved in it, whether as viewers or even participating in AD production opportunities with MFW.

The competition challenges participants to produce and submit their short films to the festival in less than 34 hours while challenging their creativity with some compulsory cinematic elements.
“Three-Country Collaboration; Stop-Motion Animation Workshop: Indonesia, South Korea, and Colombia!”
Register your child to participate in the collaborative stop-motion animation workshop between three countries: Indonesia, South Korea, and Colombia.
This workshop will hone their creativity, develop teamwork, and learn basic knowledge of making animation by making a short film using the stop-motion technique. The final result of this workshop will be a short animated film that will be combined with the results of other workshops participated by children from South Korea and Colombia.
One Shot Filmmaking Workshop
This workshop is a collaboration between Minikino and Salam Natah Rare, that take place in Banjar Tegeh Sari, Tonja, Denpasar. The workshop will be held on May 26th – 27th, 2023, from 09:00 to 17:00 WITA at Banjar Tegeh Sari, Tonja – Denpasar.
A One-Shot film (or one-take film) is a film that consists of only one continuous shot, meaning that the footage used in the film is captured in a single take, encompassing the entire story of the film. There is no editing process (cutting and splicing footage) after the shooting. Editing is usually only done to add titles, credits, color correction, and sound enhancement.
This program is part of the pre-event activities for Minikino Film Week 9 – Bali International Short Film Festival, which is also a manifestation of Minikino’s mission: “Strengthening film and media literacy in society, and encouraging society to be more critical and appreciative of what they watch.”
Workshop stages: 1. Registration and submission of film stories can be done by participants through this form. 2. Selection of film stories and screenplay writing. 3. Training and film production on May 26th – 27th, 2023.
Minikino x Tatkala: May May May 2023 Membaca Film Merangkai Kata
In order to organize the Pre-event of Minikino Film Week 9, Minikino collaborates with Tatkala and Mahima for the event series called “May May May” to hold an event titled “Reading Films, Weaving Words.” In this event, participants will watch the films “Jamal” (2020) by Heri Fadli and “Annah la Javanaise” (2020) by Fatimah Tobing Rony, and then respond to both short films by creating a poem. Through contextual and artistic interpretation of a film, and with the guidance of brief material provided by the speaker, participants will compose a poem. Once the poems are written, they will be recited and discussed collectively to provide critical feedback to each other.
OVERVIEW
The third edition of Minikino Hybrid Internship for Film Festival Writers is open for 19-25 years old students that are interested in film critique and short film festivals. It is an opportunity to widen their perspective and network with Indonesian and international filmmakers as well as professionals from the Short Film Industry.

Indonesia Raja 2023 is a national short film network program. Minikino initiated this annual networking program in 2015. That makes Indonesia Raja 2023 enter its 9th edition. This year, Indonesia Raja involves 6 selected programmers, who then present programs from 6 regions of Indonesia. Short film programs from Aceh, Bali, the Yogyakarta and Central Java merged into one program, and then Jakarta Metropolitan, West Java, and Padang Panjang.
Through the programming Indonesia Raja, this series of short films reaffirm the cultural richness and diversity of people that only Indonesia has, and can never be compared to other countries. Through this short film, Indonesia Raja reiterates the statement of Bhineka Tunggal Ika, inviting all Indonesian to meet in a common interest to be interconnected and united in a great endless dialogue.
