One of Minikino’s latest initiatives is the “Short Film Literacy for Families” program. This program is arranged to create a collective viewing and discussion experience across generations—children, parents, and even grandparents—through a short film screening space.
Minikino, under the legal auspices of the Kino Media Foundation, continues to develop educational activities based on short films, recognizing their positive impact in fostering critical thinking and enriching perspectives through post-screening discussions. Through enjoyable and open discussions, audiences are encouraged to express their opinions, stimulate critical thinking, and broaden their horizons.
This activity serves as a valuable learning space to practice listening and appreciating differences, as each generation—even individuals within the same generation—brings unique perspectives. This program has been designed and developed by Minikino based on over two decades of experience, as a response to contemporary challenges, especially the generation gap. Wishfully the experience from this program can be applied in daily life: at home, in schools, and in broader social environments.
