MFW Art House & Micro Cinema

At Minikino Film Week, cinema doesn’t only live in large screening rooms. It also exists in smaller, more intimate spaces where watching a film feels closer and often more personal.

Through our Micro Cinema and Art House screenings, we invite audiences into alternative, non-commercial spaces across different venues. These are places where the scale is smaller, but the experience can feel deeper. With a more intimate setting, each screening becomes a shared moment between the film and the audience in the room.

The films themselves remain the same, but the way we encounter them can shift. In these spaces, audiences are often more present, more attentive, and more open to letting the films resonate. Conversations tend to flow more naturally, sometimes continuing after the screening, sometimes lingering quietly.

This approach is rooted in Minikino’s long-standing relationship with micro cinema and its commitment to alternative film culture. It reflects a belief that cinema is not only about what we watch, but also how and where we watch it. Micro Cinema and Art House screenings offer a way to experience films together, while still holding on to a sense of intimacy. This is where each viewing feels a little more personal, and each encounter a little more connected.
