Minikino x Chulalongkorn University
This a hybrid short film festival, presented as a collaboration between Minikino in Bali, Indonesia and Chulalongkorn University in Thailand.
The partnership between Film Department, Chulalongkorn University and Minikino is a great opportunity for students to learn and develop global mindset and learning of different cultures and to see how the films could become a tool for social change in different context. At the same time it is a chance for students to screen their films in the international level and encourage the lively exchange between filmmakers of different cultures.
Some titles will be available to be previewed online during 10 until 17 August 2022. In-person screening and hybrid Q&A will be held as a one day series of screenings in 17 August 2022 where the filmmakers from Thailand and Indonesia will meet audiences that attend screening at art-house cinema MASH Denpasar (and also broadcasted online).

Programmers Short Bio:
Sopawan Boonnimitra is a head of Film Department at Chulalongkorn University and a filmmaker. She was involved in visual arts as a curator and artist. Her first feature, “The Isthmus” (2013), was selected for BIFF’s New Current. The Caved Life (2020) and First Grade (2022) are her recent documentary films.
Fransiska Prihadi is program director of Minikino since 2015. She is an architect and co-founder of the art-house cinema MASH Denpasar. She served as guest programmer, preselections committee & jury for various national and international short film festivals, with experience as facilitator and mentor for filmmaking and film critics workshops.
